However perplexed you may at any hour become about some question of truth, one refuge and resource is always at hand: you can do something for some one besides yourself. When your own burden is heaviest, you can always lighten a little some other burden. At the times when you cannot see God, there is still open to you this sacred possibility, to show God; for it is the love and kindness of human hearts through which the divine reality comes home to men, whether they name it or not. Let this thought, then, stay with you: there may be times when you cannot find help, but there is no time when you cannot give help.
—G. S. Merriam
I really like this quote above, it really resonated with me. It is so true. To always try to help others, it helps us oftentimes to not fall into self-pity ourselves, when we can love or help someone else, or even pray for them, this is so critical. I see so many people fall into hate, negativity, and living in misery. They let self-pity take hold, and focus on their own problems, when they can turn that all around to help and pray for others, to know they are not the only ones who are suffering or have problems. God is our refuge and resource, turn into Him, to then turn into helping others, loving others, thinking about someone else, no letting self-pity bring you to complete misery, praying, for others always helps! Loving like Jesus, imitating Him, that is really what matters! Stay truthful to God who can always lift us up! Choose the God way!
